The Last Lake

The Last Lake takes a look at the beautiful landlocked country of Malawi. Sandwiched between Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia, Malawi covers an area of 118 000Kms square. Lake Malawi is sometimes known as the Calendar lake, as it is 365 Miles long and 52 miles wide. The name The Last Lake takes reference from it being the last of the official great lakes of the Rift valley Lake system. Malawi is listed as one of the poorest nations on earth, yet its people exude a warmth that has earned the country the tag of "The Warm Heart of Africa".
